Last weekend, I was invited to Sahara Arena, a newly developing extension of Sahara Resort. While the arena itself is still under construction, the visit wasn’t about the venue — it was for a sneak peek at something far more exciting: The Diwaniya Show, Kuwait’s first dining show crafted with a full Broadway-style production.

Even in its early stages, the project feels ambitious, immersive, and unlike anything Kuwait has hosted before.

⭐ What is The Diwaniya Show?

The Diwaniya Show is being introduced as Kuwait’s first-ever theatrical dining experience — an evening where storytelling, music, and production unfold just a few steps from your dinner table.

The show is the result of a collaboration between three respected local creative forces:

  • Beattie+Dane (@beattieanddane) – Creative direction & concept

  • Massive Content (@letsgomassive) – Production & execution

  • Seazan Group (@seazengroup) – The team behind Melenzane By The Sea

When these teams work together, the result is usually premium, thoughtful, and beautifully executed — and The Diwaniya Show follows the same formula.

⭐ Built From the Ground Up — Literally

Similar to the previous By the Sea experiences created by Seazan Group, this new show is not a simple setup inside an existing venue. Instead, it’s a purpose-built installation constructed from scratch.

They’ve taken over a large section of the Sahara Golf Resort and built:

  • A large custom-designed theater

  • An outdoor retail and entertainment area

  • A scenic walkway overlooking an artificial lake

  • Panoramic views of Sahara’s green golf hills

The atmosphere blends luxury, nature, and performance — a combination that immediately sets it apart from typical dining experiences.

⭐ An Immersive Storytelling Evening

The vision behind The Diwaniya Show is to offer guests a fully immersive journey, where:

  • Performers move around the space

  • Music blends seamlessly with the narrative

  • Scenes unfold within arm’s reach of the audience

  • Dinner and entertainment are woven together into one experience

There will be two shows daily, running five days a week, making it accessible for both weekday and weekend visitors.

Although the setup is still in construction and may not look ready from initial photos, The Diwaniya Show is scheduled to open by the end of this month.
